Escargot de Bourgogne en hiver avec son opercule calcifié (Helix pomatia). Prise de vue en studio sur fond blanc (France). En octobre, quand la température est inférieure à 10°C, l'escargot de Bourgogne rentre en hibernation, il se blottit alors dans un trou qu?il a creusé et se rétracte dans sa coquille qu?il ferme en sécrétant un opercule calcifié.
